Hey, SRB,.

I agree with just about all that you say, although since I was until recently one of those liberals, I try to keep my comments more on the topic and less on any assumptions I might have about others posting on this site. However, I will make an exception here, for I agree fully with your statement...

"I think what we really know about Iraqi schools, water and electric systems and so forth is not broadcast on CNN, MSNBC and the like. ".

Though I am a democrat, I will be voting for Bush because he sees the same real values that our former President, Ronald Reagan saw (God, Family and love of country) and I feel as if we as a nation are entering into a period where it will be those who see God as the source of truth and morals versus those who think that we don't need a God and that Humans can redefine morality. Straight out of the Old Testament...God did weigh in on that one.

But as those who do run this website do admonish us from time to time, we do digress from the real issue. I know from listening to Christian Radio, that he is listening about Iraq.

Damon Borrelli and at least one supporter think we need an effort called Operation American Children. Howee 88 hit it on the head (below).

Neal,Two things: 1) I hope you are not referring to the education of americans as a waste of money. I commend you Howie 88, you are a very wise person.

No doubt I am one of the religious fanatics that you are referring to. I think that is pretty tragic.

Fanatics to me are people who just are so into one thing that all else is driven out. My son just got back from summer camp with the boy scouts.

I am a democrat but I will be voting for Bush because he is not constantly changing his position on things and he is the commander in chief in this new war. And plenty of people "found God" as they struggled through that.

Well, I found God after 9/11. And the ones doing the smacking are usually the neighboring Arab peoples (relatives from back in Abraham's days).

Ever wonder why the terrorists keep saying "God willing...". And soverign over all.

As I read all of these postings I am reminded of the fact that in the year 2000 President Bush ran as the "Great Uniter". That's all we get is partisan bickering back and forth about George Bush's religious beliefs and John Kerry's supposed flip flopping.

If you have such blind devotion to a certain political party that you would fill up this well intended site with partisan garbage - then I suggest you take a step back and reevaluate yourself and the leader you support. Be it Iraq, Sudan, Latin America or AMERICA!.

Sorry for the "senior citizen" scolding... But I felt it was do.

Best regards,TBiggs.

Sorry if I for one did get sidetracked and ramble on there on politics and not keep it short and sweet. I apologize for being too lengthy.

I agree with you that the children should stay the focus. They help both children and adults in both Afghanistan and Iraq and one of their big drives now is to get sewing machines over there into Iraq.

I think that one reason why so many are pitching in to help OIC is that when our forces are involved with battles over seas, we tend to be generous to a fault to the nations involved. Enough said.

Democrat my arse, lol. You are completely clueless if you thing Bush hasn't changed his positions on various issues, they don't call him the "flip-flopper in-chief" for nothing.

From the beginning, George W. It is going to be important for the president to be credible with Congress, important for the president to be credible with foreign nations." [President Bush, 1/26/00].

...BUSH ADMINISTRATION REGULATIONS IGNORE SCIENCE "60 leading scientists—including Nobel laureates, leading medical experts, former federal agency directors and university chairs and presidents—issued a statement calling for regulatory and legislative action to restore scientific integrity to federal policymaking. According to the scientists, the Bush administration has, among other abuses, suppressed and distorted scientific analysis from federal agencies, and taken actions that have undermined the quality of scientific advisory panels." [Union of Concerned Scientists, 2/18/04].

Hey, Kerry4President2004,.

Interesting list. I was referring to election campaign stands (and no, I don't want to debate those as well).

I suggest that you find a political website and go there with your list. Enough said.

I just wanted to reiterate that my original intention here was to simply state my own personal feelings about this site, and how I feel that resources are better allocated at home rather than abroad regardless of how worse off any other nation is. That is not to say that I am an isolationist, once America is at 100%, I have no problem helping others, but only after we have reached that goal here at home.I will say this though, as one who is still undecided as to where my vote will go in November, and has never voted Democrat in the past (and probably never will), Kerry4President2004 does seem to make some pretty valid points.

I know that we have problems in this country. America is a Giving Country and wants to help others have the same freedons.

God Bless America!!!.

To Kerry4President2004,.

A. .

B. Twice....

Sorry for such a graphic post, but this was the reality of that country and there are just too many people in this country who either have no clue as to what was happening, or don't want to burden themselves with the facts of their pain. Time for a reality check.

Well, I've heard some very interesting points of view from both sides. .

I blame the negative media and negative hollywood opportunists like Michael Moore. And that is coming from a Democrat!!!.

Those who sit back and just complain need to put up or shut up. .

Maybe with role models like Gary SInise and Laura Hillenbrand who are showing their support, we can turn this country around and stop the growing terrorism that is emerging with our own young citizens by being a good example.

Thursday, July 15, 2004THE MERCIFUL Hi,.

Well, of course the Arabs are our brothers in so far as we are an Arabic speaking people. It would be even nicer if they could actually stop perpetrating these rather unfriendly acts.

Also, somewhat it seems to us that cutting the heads of hostages is not a particularly good way of illustrating the Arab and Islamic nobility of spirit; especially if it is done in the name of Allah. Perhaps we are not sufficiently well trained philosophically and too ignorant to appreciate the finer points of theology and the relationship between beheadings and various forms of murder to monotheism and Jihad in the name of The Merciful, the Compassionate.

Also we thought that our religion preached tolerance and kindness towards others, but it seems that our lamentable ignorance of theology led us to these erroneous misconceptions. Do we have sneaking suspicions that these ancient creeds have crept back into your system of belief.

Oh, yes; Oh brothers and venerable Sheiks with the correct size of beards, we are in dire need of explanation from you to save us from our utter disbelief and bewilderment concerning your ways. We are in state of shock that threatens the very foundation of our own faith.
